As expected, the Dolphins have come to terms with their first round draft pick - cornerback Vontae Davis - according to the Palm Beach Post. The deal is reportedly a five year deal. No financial details are available at the moment.
The Sun-Sentinel did reach Davis for comment. Davis said, "I wanted to be at camp. I'm excited about this. My intention is to go in there and start bonding with my teammates and start getting ready for the football season."
This means that the Dolphins have just two rookies to sign before players report tomorrow or, at the latest, before the first practice on Sunday - Pat White and Chris Clemons. But the report from the Post does say that both players are "expected" to be signed in time for camp.
And kudos to Edgar Thompson for breaking this story.
