Dolphins minicamp reports, Day 3

The Dolphins have one practice today down in Davie, concluding their final minicamp of the spring.  They do have one more OTA day before the team breaks for a month and a half prior to training camp - which is expected to begin around August 1 (yes - that's later than usual, but the season starts later than usual).

As the various practice reports roll in, I'll keep this post updated with them.

PALM BEACH POST PRACTICE REPORT
Highlights include:

-Chad Pennington back after missing yesterday's sessions to attend his sister's wedding.
-Brandon Fields continues to improve.
-Dan Carpenter went 5 for 5 on FGs - including some 46 yarders.

SUN-SENTINEL PRACTICE REPORT
Highlights include:

-Pennington naming Anthony Armstrong as the most improved player from last year to this.
-Sparano admitted that WR cuts will be very hard.
-Joe Berger spent some time as the starting RG.
-Lionel Dotson has "Redefined his body" and has "moved well these days."
-Davone Bess working as 1st string PR with Ted Ginn as 2nd string.

MORE FROM PALM BECH POST
Highlights include:

-Sparano singled out the "red area" as an area the team needs to improve.
-Jason Taylor lined up on the right side.
-Jason Allen flashed his athleticism blitzing Chad Henne.
-Vontae Davis hasn't stood out - good or bad - while Sean Smith has looked like a playmaker.
-Tyrone Culver has impressed.

MIAMI HERALD PRACTICE REPORT
Highlights include:

-John Nalbone dropping too many passes.
-Pat White wasn't as wild as previous days.
-Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, Chris Clemons, and Tyrone Culver make up the 2nd team secondary.
