When will it end? Yesterday, Rex Ryan took shots at Channing Crowder for his response on how much trash-talking Ryan has done since being hired as Jets head coach. Crowder then responded in Wednesday's Miami Herald, saying:
''Oh, Lord have mercy. What's wrong with him? Now he's talking about preparation? We play them twice this year. If he wants to be prepared, shouldn't he know the starting middle linebackers of his division rival?''
''He says he'd take care of me if he was younger?. I'd have beat the hell out of that big old joker. Or if he really wants to get retro, my daddy or my uncle could have handled him. Don't get big. Win with preparation? Start watching some tape and learn who your rival is. Come on now.''
Of course, Rex Ryan wasted no time responding. After minicamp practice on Wednesday, Ryan responded:
"Let's see if he can top this one. I've walked over tougher guys going to a fight...He can send himself and his father after me."
And I continue to just be blown away at how amazingly ridiculous Rex Ryan is acting. He has not proven anything as a head coach in this league and now not only is he predicting outlandish success for his team - he's also picking fights with opposing players. Is this guy serious?
I'd be embarrassed if this idiot was the head coach of my football team. Head coaches are supposed to set examples - they are supposed to be the leaders. This mouthy jackass just won't shut up. And now he's saying he invites Crowder to come after him? What a joke.
I honestly don't know what else to say. I'm amazed at the "jackass-ery" of Rex Ryan and can't wait to see him epically fail as an NFL head coach - just as previous former Baltimore Raven defensive coordinators have done as head coaches.
