Dolphins vs Texans: Prediction Time

I hope you all had a great holiday yesterday. Let's now take a look at who the "experts" are picking on Sunday:

Chris Mortensen - Mia
Adam Schefter - Hou
Ron Jaworski - Hou
Tom Jackson - Hou
Cris Carter - Mia
Peter King - Mia
Jason Cole - Hou
Michael Silver - Mia
PFT - Mia
Pete Prisco - Mia Harmon Forecast - Mia Clark Judge - Mia

Interesting note about Peter King's prediction. In it, he writes, "I've heard from a dozen or so Dolphins fans this week who are up in arms about Chad Henne's interceptions. (He has thrown eight in the last four weeks. Not good, obviously.) I've said the same thing to all of them: Henne's ready to play, and he's maturing by playing, and very, very few young quarterbacks don't go through this when they play for the first time. So just grit your teeth, accept it, and know you've got a good quarterback of the future."

I like the sound of that. By the way - we're all rooting for Peter King this weekend. King picked in favor of all the breaks the Dolphins need to make next week's game against Pittsburgh a game where a win gets Miami into the playoffs (he picked NE and Pitt to win this week).

I also found it interesting that notorious Dolphin-hater Pete Prisco picked the Dolphins in a big game. What's even more surprising is that he says to "look for Chad Henne to outplay Matt Schaub."

But you know - I can't help but agree with Pete on this one. I just think that we're going to learn a lot about the mental toughness of our young quarterback. After throwing the costly, game-killing interception in overtime, I fully expect Henne to bounce back and have a strong game. He'll be helped, in my opinion, by a re-committed running game early on in the game to loosen up Houston's defense.

And in the end, the Dolphins are going to win a tight one, 27-21.

My Week 16 Locks
Eagles - 6.5 over Broncos
- I continue to believe what I've said all along: the Broncos are pretenders. They aren't that good and will not win this game against one of the hottest teams in the league.
Patriots -7.5 over Jaguars - I continue to be totally unimpressed with Jacksonville as well and I expect New England's offense to get back on track in this one at home in Foxborough.
Cardinals -13.5 over Rams - I hate laying this many points. But the Cardinals need to get going again after consecutive weeks of uninspired play (loss to SF, near loss to Det).
Packers -13.5 over Seahawks - Seattle has packed it in and now head to cold Green Bay to face a Packers team that is still looking to lock up a playoff spot.

Last Week: 0-4
Season: 23-25-1
