It's time once again to make our weekly predictions. As always, each team's offensive and defensive rankings are above and below are a few "expert" picks:
Chris Mortensen - Dolphins | Jay Novacek - Dolphins |
Tom Jackson - Dolphins | Michael Silver - Dolphins |
Ron Jaworski - Dolphins | Jason Cole - Dolphins |
Mike Ditka - Dolphins | Pete Prisco - Dolphins |
Peter King - Dolphins | Harmon Forecast - Dolphins |
And King predicts the Dolphins to win 37-10. Wouldn't that be nice? Regardless, any time the Dolphins are this much of a favorite, I worry a little bit.
As for my picks, last week's win got me back over .500 (5-4). And it's hard not to pick the Dolphins again this week.
Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams really should have some running room. And if they don't, I'm going to be a little worried about this team as we move forward. Defensively, the Dolphins need to stop the run - especially Darren McFadden, who is a game-breaking player. If they do, then I don't see how JaMarcus Russell could lead the Raiders to a win.
So I'll say Fins win, 24-16. After all, the Dolphins never seem to cover when they are favorites. So I think that 10-point spread is a bit much.
