Cam Cameron today confirmed that Zach Thomas will not play on Sunday against the Jets. This means that Channing Crowder will move to the middle and Derrick Pope, who has played well in the past when fillin in for an injury, will take the spot vacated by Channing. Here's what Cameron said about Zach:
"It'll kind of be going day-to-day. They got back the MRI and they didn't see anything on that. They do further tests and so forth, so it's ongoing, but he's been ruled out of this game."
Hopefully this isn't too serious of a deal. From what we've been hearing, it doesn't seem like Zach will miss a long period of time. And this will be a good experience for Crowder, as he is the heir apparent to Thomas.
Also, safety Donovin Darius has been ruled out as well. I'll pass along the full injury report once I receive it.
