The Dolphins announced how they are going to rotate the QBs in Thursday night's game. However, keep in mind that these plans are always subject to change. With that said, it will be Trent Green starting. But he will only play the first quarter. Cleo Lemon will play the second quarter, followed by Beck starting the third quarter. Then, at some point during the 4th, Gibran Hamdan will come in.
Here are my quick thoughts on this. I'm thinking Cam is going to allow Lemon to play with the first team offense a little bit in the second quarter, allowing the coaching staff to evaluate his play better. If that is the case, I like that move.
As far as Beck goes, it seems he's going to see more action and attempt for than 5 passes, so I'm very excited for that. As a rookie, he needs all the experience he can get right now, so leaving him in for over a quarter is a good move in my opinion.
Aside from the QB rotation, the team also said that Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, and Keith Traylor will sit out yet again. Like last week, this is just precautionary. I'd assume they'll see action in the team's third preseason game.
