Texas A&M Running Back Christine Michael Post-Combine Interview

The 2013 NFL Combine is in the books, and one of the many NFL hopefuls who helped his stock was Texas A&M RB Christine Michael. David Rantisi of SB Nation and WakeUpItsFootball spoke with Michael after his stand-out showing in Indianapolis about his workouts, his injury history at A&M, and which NFL running backs he's looked up to over the years.

The 2013 NFL Scouting Combine is complete, with NFL draft prospects having put up their best efforts to raise their draft stock. Texas A&M running back Christine Michael was among the draft prospects who came away from the Combine climbing up draft boards.

The 5'10", 220 lbs. running back ran a 4.54 second 40-yard dash. He was among the top five in the position in the bench press (27 reps), vertical jump (43.0 inches), broad jump (125.0), 3-cone drill (6.69 seconds), and the 20-yard shuttle (4.02 seconds).

NFL.com's scouting report reads:

"Scouts like Michael's blend of low-center of gravity power and speed in exactly the same way that opposing defense don't; but he must stay healthy to fulfill his promise after managing to play in just 13 games (with an impressive 1,530 yards and 12 touchdowns in that span) over the last two seasons due to a broken right leg in 2010 and a torn left ACL in 2011. A healthy senior year should translate into at least a top 50 draft slot, if not higher."

David Rantisi of SB Nation and WakeUpItsFootball spoke with Michael after the combine, getting his thoughts on the drills, his injury history, and his NFL idols.
