WE'RE NUMBER 4! WOOHOO! TAKE THAT BELICHEAT!

I'd make a fanshot, but no one will see it down there so I'm writing this to meet the 75 word limit. This is important. I'm telling you, this is IMPORTANT. We're gonna beat the patsies, I don't care what logic tells me. Because I'm a homer, I'm a homer, I'm a homer. DOH.  No homo.

Favre asks for release from Packers

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3483521

If you're Parcells/Ireland, do you stand put or go after him if he's released? There's something to be said about having one of the greatest qb's to ever play the game on your team.  However, by acquiring Favre, you effectively kill Beck and McCown's careers.  This move would be great for Henne's development, if that's who the franchise sees as the long term answer.   If Beck/McCown are just fill ins until Henne is ready, then I say go for Favre.

I see Beck as our long term solution at the position. I'm not the guy in charge though. So if Parcells has already decided that Beck is a fill in for Henne and isn't giving him the chance to be the next Dan (heck, i'll take next Jay Fiedler), then it's imperative he goes after Favre.   Favre would be the perfect example for Henne, and there's no need for me to enumerate all of the qualities this future HoF has.
