How can Favre trade help Phins???

Two ways i believe the rumored Favre trade to Tampa could help Miami:

1. Jeff Garcia- Coming off of a Pro Bowl season, no way he stays on to be a backup.  He wants to be a number one somewhere else, and there could be another Florida team that could use his services.  Our offense can't be any worse than Tampa's could it?  Look at what he did down there.

2.  Chris Simms- son of former Giants QB, Phil Simms.  No doubt Parcells would love to have this kid in camp competing.  He had a nice season a couple of years ago, but then had his spleen removed, and hasn't seen much time since.  Good player, with decent upside, that won't make too many mistakes, and knows what it takes to play under Parcells.

Both could be cut, or traded for, i think, for somewhat low compensation.  It may be something to monitor, but you can have fun with it also.

Thoughts????

Just an idea...

Is there any way for us Phinsider.com members to meet up at the games this year if we st it up in advance?

I was talking with my buddy who is a niners fan, and he said that for select home games, they post it on the niners webzone, about having a meeting place, before the game, to go out and have drinks, meet the players, tour the stadium, and do fun things like that.  I was wondering what it would take to do something like that with the Dolphins' fans.  I know i will be there in December for the Phins/Niners game, and it would be cool to meet up with some fellas, or ladies, that i've been chatting with on here.  I don't know if anyone is going to that game, or if anything like this is already in place, but i thought it would be cool to experience something like that.

Especially for out of towners, like myself who have to wait every couple of years to fly down south, and check out a game.  Let me know what you all think.

Over/Under Game

Hey Everyone,

I just thought of something fun to pass the time, and something that we could all participate it.  It's called the OVER/UNDER Game.  I will give you some names, and some statistics, and I will also set the over?under in these.  I just am curious to see what everyone thinks.  Kinda corny, i know, but i am bored, and not enough info on training camp these days:

Tedd Ginn score more than 5 offensive TD's-OVER

Jake Long gives up 10 sacks this year-UNDER

Jason Allen gets 4 INT's this year-OVER

Our QB's throw COLLECTIVELY 20 TD's this year-UNDER

Miami wins 6 games this year-OVER

Our TE's score 4 TD's this year-OVER

Joey Porter has 8 sacks this year-UNDER

My scores will be next to the categories, and just remember to have fun with this!!!!

WTF is going on with Merling and Henne???

ANY UPDATES AT ALL?????

This is absolutely crazy.  How can 2 second round picks, possibly become holdouts.  With Kenny Phillips signed, you would think Merling would be done very soon but nothing yet!!!!  And Henne was the fourth QB chosen this year, so what is he waiting for?  I will tell you one thing, he had better get his ass into camp and battle Beck, because otherwise, he is going to have a lot of catching up to do.  Beck is already there establishing his timing with the receivers, while Henne is waiting for his contract to get signed.

Oh well, Show em' what's up Beck!!!!

TAYLOR'S NEW DIGS

PFT Report:  Jason Taylor to wear number 55, to honor his brother-in law Zach Thomas, who has also left Miami, to play in a new city in 2008.  He originally wanted to wear his famed number 99, but Taylor didn't want to buy it from the player that currently holds it, Andre Carter, and Taylor said he wants to start fresh with a new team, a new city, and a new number.

That's fine with me.  It definitely will suck to see both him and Zach don a new team's colors, but at least they have an opportunity to make the playoffs, and maybe even a Super Bowl run.  Either way i'd say it's bittersweet.

I'm glad we got the right compensation for him, but at the same time, he was the last true superstar left from the Marino era, and i think the last player on the roster that made the playoffs with Miami.

Rehab VIDEO OF RONNIE BROWN!!!!

Hey everyone, check out this short video of Ronnie Brown Rehabbing his knee on MSN.com.  He looks like he is in great shape and spirits.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/24299460#24299460

Hopefully he can come back healthy and re-establish himself as was done in the first six weeks of last season as a dominant runner.  This off season will be key in determining how the Dolphins, particularly the running game will be.  Hopefully both Ronnie and Tricky Ricky can return to form.
