It is simple...

if the guy in question is a star or important player, then he'll get a break, extra chances, etc.

If he's just some special teamer or body on the roster, then look for him to be cut.

Business as usual in pro sports...

If the story is true as being currently told, then no doubt we should dump him. however there are usually two sides to a story and frankly it seems like something is missing here. He just went up to a stranger and decked him? sound like a stretch to me.

and chance he has a brother that looks a lot like him?

porter jumped levi jones in vegas last year and nothing happened to him.

... i know, double standard, yada yada yada, but it's true. Besides, mauia hasn't been in the league long enough to earn any free pass. at least porter had a track record as a performer on the field.

according to PFT his defense is - he it wasn't him and he wasn't there, yet some how they have a cell phone photo with his liscense plate and eye witness id... sounds like he is pretty much just an idiot and was likely --- how does one say --- a little under the weather at the time?
