Cowboys ink Flozell Adams
[editor's note, by Matty I] Thanks to Spacefish for getting this posted. I just edited and reformatted it for front-page posting. [end note]
According to DallasCowboys.com:
For the last 10 years, Flozell Adams has been protecting the Cowboys' starting quarterback. But he was only a few hours from being unprotected himself.
Instead, the Cowboys avoided free agency with their starting left tackle, signing Adams to a six-year deal late Thursday afternoon.
With free agency officially beginning at 11:01 p.m. (CST) Thursday night, Adams would've been able to start negotiating with other clubs. Now he returns with a contract that will likely keep him in a Cowboys uniform for the remainder of his career.

Cannot predict what the front office is thinking
This way we can take either of the QB's Brohm, Flacco, Heine in the 2nd round and concentrate on defensive tackle, linebackers, corner backs and safeties the rest of the way.
I think Faneca will be gone to the Jets, from what I hear. So we will have to build this line through the draft.
But Chris long will provide that run stopping ability that we simply do not have. Also DT is a need. Let's see what these guys do after midnight.

I just don't see
Plus let's say he max's out his talent and he becomes the next JT.... well what did JT get the dolphins... he was good, he won a lot of games but they were never a playoff team.... a great OL makes you a playoff team and not only a playoff team, one that gets you far.
Plus, i think they DL has some young ?talent? (players anyway) roth, moses, solali (sp??), and wright. I'd like to assume they will develop, where as the OL needs serious help.

not sure what you mean
there is one 6-7 315 lbs er, monster at the top of the draft board.
and it sure as heck would be nice to lock up LT for the next 7-15 years.

Fins trading for Ferguson?
Ferguson, who suffered a season-ending injury in the opener, is expendable because of the emergence of Jay Ratliff. Tank Johnson, who has stayed out of trouble since signing with Dallas, gives the Cowboys quality depth at nose tackle.
More to come as this story develops.

Whew! . . . or Darn!
With Sopoaga re-signed and now Flo, I'm really starting to wonder where we're going to get bodies to fill all the holes we have. We can go J. Long in the draft, but then who do we get to play the D-line? We could go Sedrick Ellis at #1, but then who do we get to play the O-line?

as I keep saying
JT is the old stud, but then there are a bunch of young guys who need some PT...
moses, roth, wright, and soladi... where the team is weekest is QB/OL & LB.... and i'm pretty sure they aren't going to solve the QB issue without fixing the OL.... so go OL and see if some mid round LB's work out.
