49ers Re-sign Sopoaga

So much for getting a nose tackle through free agency.  According to Pro Football Talk, Adam Schefter of the NFL Network says Isaac Sopoaga has resigned with the 49ers for 5 years.  Are there any true nose tackles about to hit the free agent market? I can't think of anyone.  Sopoaga could have filled the huge void a nose tackle.  It looks more and more likely that Miami will have to find a nose tackle in the 2nd or 3rd rounds in the draft.

since
the fins are going to stink this upcomming year, it would be worth a look to let him play at least 1/2 a season as the starter.

It figures...
when we have $44 million to spend, there is no one in free agency, unless we want to WAYYYY overpay for some chump who is above-average, not great.  The Dolphins can never win anything!!  This offseason looked awesome to begin with, but it seems to get gloomier and gloomier with each passing day.  All the free agents the Phins are presumed to go after big-time are being slapped with the franchise tag, or are being resigned by their team, and some are even working out deals with other teams before free agency begins.  The NFL is becoming a bunch of hogwash...  Teams can break the rules all the time, and no one does or says anything.  I predict within the next 5-10 years the NFL will beome like the MLB is right now.  About the only way to get a quality player the is already in the NFL is to trade lots of picks/players for them.  I am just so frustrated at how the Pats can get great free agents and trade for players like Randy Moss, just giving up a 3 or 4th round pick...  The Dolphins always get rid of the good players and get screwed in free agency and the draft...  Looks like this trend shall continue...

actually
this is a perfect scenario for miami's long term development. they can't get lured into the luster of stop gap vets for an 8-8 season... they'll have to draft an play young kids and fill in the holes with roster cuts... If they draft well and fingers crossed the last couple drafts continue to develop miami will create a core group of young players who will lead the team to the promised land.... provided wanny doesn't come back and mess up all the talent.
