Interesting trade....

I read in the Sporting News the other day, that the Lions might be looking to trade WR Roy Williams, and DT Shaun Rogers in a package deal for a veteran defensive player.  I couldn't help but think of Jason Taylor being that veteran defensive player.  Just felt like I should share.  Any thoughts?

Roy Williams is definitely a guy the Dolphins could use.  The problem is that he's in his last year of his contract so the Dolphins would probably have to pay a pretty penny to keep him.  He is only 26 though.  Shaun Rogers on the other hand is 28.  The biggest knock on him is that he is out of shape.  But when is playing, he can be dominant.  There is definitely potential with both of these players.

Taylor said he wants to win
and we're gonna send him to the Lions? LOL. Taylor would haunt Dolphins Stadium for decades after he passes if we did that to him.

I doubt...
the Dolphins care where they trade JT if they get the players in return that they want.  Last time I checked, the NFL is a business, and with Parcells at the helm, feelings get put on the back burner.  Unless JT has to waive a no-trade clause, then the Dolphins could send him anywhere.

Now with that said, I don't see the trade happening, it was just something to ponder upon.  I found it interesting that the lions would trade two of their better prospects for a veteran defensive player.  JT is one of those caliber players that could actually bring in that kind of talent.

zach thomas
forgetting about him huh? hes still a veteran player and Parcells said earlier in an interview that he wants to keep Taylor(allthough that trade would be nice and fill 2 of our needs). Parcells also doesnt like small linebackers and thomas is aging as shown in his injuries this year.  Another interesting trade i heard rumors of was the dolphins send their 3rd round pick to the bengals for chad johnson.   I think that would be awsome to get a guy like that for a 3rd round pick

JT for Chad Johnson
Would you trade jason taylor for Chad Johnson?

I think I would, given their respective ages.
