Dang
I still think I could have engineered the game winning touchdown.

Don't worry Captain Checkdown...
you'll get your chance to lead winning drives next year (in preason or the AFL)

Thanks for putting together the video...
Notice how on several instances Beck threw from either the endzone or near his own goal line. Yet unlike Captain Checkdown (Leo Lemon), he got rid of the ball every time rather than eating it and taking a safety.

Second, several dropped passes by his targets.

Third, you can see on some of the blitzes he gets a case of happy feet. That can and does happen to virtually all QB's when they have pressure. Beck will learn to take the right amount of time to get his passes off, rather than rush a few like he did in this game.

Finally, we've got 6 more games to go. Watch to see if he does improve in setting his feet on passes, etc.

Booker, Hagan and Ginn
need to get open for Beck.  If Pitt is going to blitz and Beck can hit these guys in stride, we might be able to make some plays out there.
That was always my big problem w/ Chambers, he wasn't really a guy who made a catch, a move and was gone.  Never really the big play guy that Ginn could be.

I thought Chambers was a...
nice receiver, but never as good as a lot of the media hyped him up to be. Let's say a good # 2 receiver, not a #1 guy.

I'm not holding my breath to see if Booker plays, he's been in all of what, 2-3 series all year?

The guys out there need to hold on to the ball. You can see several drops in this video.

Nat
very true, Hagan really needs to work on holding onto the ball.  He could be a nice option, but right now he's not dependable enough.
BTW, what the hell is going on w/ Donald Lee? When did he learn not to fumble the ball??

Booker, Hagan, and Ginn
are open when I throw the ball.

Thanks
I'm starting to believe.

I love just watching him blow by the angles.

Still Camoron must go and can take capers with him, but Mueller can stay for now. And for anyone who says otherwise....

Nice wotk Matty but...
I'd like to see a video of his passes after the season is done. Can't take too much from just one game. The best part of Beck's performance was his poise and his footwork. Other than than, it was a below average performance passing-wise. And while I'm a big fan of his, it's tough to gauge whether or not he's the future from just one or even two or three games. It's going to be a week by week evaluation more than anything.

thanks matty...
i didn't get to watch the game, so i appreciate being able to see a slice of beck. all we can hope is that he just keeps improving..

Ginn crossing pattern
I think Philly dodged a bullet if Beck hits Ginn on that deep crossing pattern (see -:30 on Matty's great video) it looks like Ginn would have been off to the races.  Man, it is nice to have a guy who at any point is a threat to take it all the way.

I realize he missed him, but I don't expect that to continue.  And it will be fun watching this combo develop together.

One other point...
Check out the lovely field position we had most of the game as well.  How many passes did Beck throw inside our own 10 yard line.

Psst..  Hey Cleo - check out how to get rid of the ball when standing in your own end zone.

Definitely some high balls thrown on the quick hitters - am sure as he settles down and gets more comfortably those will become completions - but also some catchable ones as well - Hagan in particular around mid-field in the 3rd quarter which would have been about a 40 yd pickup. (He's got to catch that one)

Nice vid Matty!!
