Confirmed: Ronnie Brown out for season; Torn ACL
**UPDATE #3**: And it's official. In his press conference today, Cam Cameron has confirmed that Ronnie Brown suffered a complete tear of his ACL and will be done for the season. He said that surgery is likely to take place in 7 to 10 days. He will undergo a normal ACL reconstruction, which is known to have a success rate of 90%. Cam said that Brown was surprised at the findings because he was able to walk on it a bit, but was optimistic. Cam said Brown's spirits were up and he's already talking about next year and that he's committed to coming back even stronger. Cam said of Ronnie, "He's an impressive young man."
Cameron went on to talk about how Brown was in the midst of a "special season" and a "pro-bowl season." He told a story about how Pats head coach Bill Belichick, following the conclusion of the game, came over to Cam for the post-game handshake and immediately asked how Ronnie was and said that he wishes Ronnie the best. That's the kind of special player and young man Ronnie is. Hopefully, he can come back just as strong, if not stronger, next year. Best wishes to Ronnie!
Oh, and let's not forget Renaldo Hill, who also suffered a torn ACL and is done for the season. In respect to the safety depth now, Cam said the team is looking at everyone who has played the safety position over the last 50 years. Now that's something to look forward to, isn't it?
**UPDATE #2**: The Palm Beach Post is now reporting that Brown suffered a torn ACL and is, indeed, done for the year. Official confirmation should be coming shortly at Cam's press conference. Meanwhile, his agent has confirmed the news. This sucks so much it isn't even funny.
**UPDATE**: The Palm Beach Post is reporting that Brown "might" be out for the rest of the season, saying that the team is yet to confirm the news. The article also says that injury updates are expected from Cam Cameron at his press conference at 3:30, which can be seen at miamidolphins.com.
And this season just got a million times worse. The Miami Herald is reporting that Ronnie Brown will miss the remainder of the season thanks to the injury he suffered yesterday to his right knee. This is according to two sources. Also, ESPN has also picked up this story now. However, we don't know what exactly Brown is being diagnosed with. Details will surely follow soon. But it's clear the MRI certainly showed some bad news.
Right now, I don't know what to say. This really ruins the season for me. We were watching this kid grow up before our eyes this year, looking every bit like the star we thought he would be. It's a damm shame, especially considering the injury occured on a play that should have never happened. Damnit, Cleo Lemon!! He just had to make that stupid, stupid pass. I'll tell you one thing: Lemon just lost whatever fans he may have had. I know, you can't blame anyone for injuries. But Brown would not have been put in the position he was in (making a tackle) if not for Cleo throwing that terrible interception. That's all I can say now. I'm just sick to my stomach right now. I'll post more updates on the situation as I hear it.

Terrible News...
as he, along with the OL, has been about the only thing to cheer for this year.
Having said that, maybe, just maybe if a minor miracle occurs, we'll actually see Lorenzo Booker in there now. Not to mention I think it would be smart to try and get Ricky Williams back in the lineup if he can be reinstated.
Remember, the dolphins are probably going to start Beck soon and Ricky WIlliams is infinitely better than anyone the Dolphins will have available. Having at least a credible running threat in williams will help Beck. Besides, they can always trade williams next year for a pick.

silver lining
Like Natalya, I think it'll be a silver lining if we can get a glimpse of Lorenzo Booker. Maybe he can flash some breakaway speed to hit the homerun, something Ronnie hasnt done yet.

Well, there is some good news....
On a different note, I hope they give Cobbs a bunch of carries. I am interested to see what he does. He looked good in the pre-season and seemed like one of those players that just makes plays.
DON"T..
God hates the Miami Dolphins
Put in Beck now. Please give us something to hope for. The way things have been going Beck will likely blow out his elbow in his first start.
I'm just sick here.
This is just sick, sick, sick. Renaldo Hill gone for the year with an ACL, too.
I think Thou Shalst Vomit!

Torn ACL...
Forget, for a moment if you can, the dolphin's 07 season which is up in smoke. It is too early for sure, but now the question of drafting McFadden at #1 has some validity.
Deuce McAllister (talk about bad luck for the poor guy) has suffered back to back ACL's in his knees. So a back can come back from it, but the pop or explosiveness in his game is largely gone as he's basically a bruiser at this point.
With what we have on the field now, I have to ask, is this the worst Dolphins team you've ever seen?
I know we had some bad times during the Dave Wannstodge era, but seems much worse.
Yup
I will say this, though. Running back is one ofthe easiest positions to fill, so it may be better to spend that high #1 pick on a different position. But considering McFadden isn't crazy anymore.
This is the worst

McFadden
The good news is that some teams may be faked into thinking that we'll take McFadden, and so will trade up with us.
Glenn Dorsey and a franchise MLB in round one? Yes, please.

London Trip
No need to take it to this extreme.
Run Ricky Run, Lorenzo
Look forward to next years draft. O-line, DB's, aND D-LINE! Remember 2 years ago when the saints were like 2-14.. Remember the chargers just a few years ago going from 4-12 to 14-2 like the next year? Hang in there guys.. Cam will get us another 10 draft choices and youth will get us going.

Love your post!
Lets go young
As for the McFadden talk, sorry to have started it all, my question was rhetorical to be honest. The point I was trying to make is we have NO idea if Ronnie will return and be effective next season. Is RB an area of need again? I personally feel that we'll never know until we see Ronnie back on the field. the '09 draft will mark the decision point.
I'm trying to be positive, but I still want to puke on the Pats.
