Browns - 32nd total defense (424.4), 30th rush defense (157.4), 31st pass defense (267), 30th scoring defense (30.4)

Today's Inactives

Dolphins: RB Lorenzo Booker, S Travares Tillman, OLB Abraham Wright, WR Greg Camarillo, QB Trent Green, DL Vonnie Holliday, DE Rob Ninkovich, and DL Sam Rayburn

Browns: RB Jamal Lewis, QB Ken Dorsey, DB Gary Baxter, OL Isaac Sowells, OL Nat Dorsey, WR Travis Wilson, TE Darnell Dinkins, and NT Louis Leonard

3 Absolute Keys to the Game

1.Ronnie must be a beast. Brown's probably been the best running back in the NFL over the past 3 weeks. There isn't any reason why that can't continue against this bad Browns' defense. Brown needs to get the ball 25+ times to keep the pressure off of Cleo Lemon. If Lemon doesn't have to throw more than 30 times, the Dolphins could pull this one out.

2. Take some shots deep. This isn't Trent Green behind center. Cleo Lemon can actually throw the long ball. The Dolphins must keep the defense honest by taking shots down the field every so often with Chris Chambers and Ted Ginn. This should prevent the Browns from keying on Ronnie Brown all game long.

3. Get off the field on third down. This continues to be a big problem for this defense. Just last week, they allowed the Texans to convert crucial 3rd downs. The one that really hurt was when the Texans converted on 3rd and 13 in the 4th quarter, continuing a drive that would result in 3 points. Those kinds of plays are killer and if the Dolphins ever plan on winning a game or two, they must get off the damn field.

Prediction: I've been saying for about 3 weeks that the Dolphins would win, and it hasn't worked out. This week, I'll try and reverse my luck by saying the Dolphins will lose this game, 27-17.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Your thoughts below...

**UPDATE**: Will this damn team ever win a game? At this point, I don't know. After this disgusting 41-31 loss, I feel just sick. But now I can at least watch two real football teams play now and imagine what it would be like if the Dolphins were 5-0. Post-game post coming later tonight/early morning. Try to enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Not even 3 minutes into the game...
...and I'm already sick to my stomach. Let's see. We've already had a stupid penalty (on the kick return), the inability to get off the field on third down (3rd and 11) and the secondary getting beat badly (Lehan blows).

It's going to be a long, long day...

Am I the only one who cringes...
...everythime Cleo Lemon drops back to pass?

I'm going to be sick...
It's the same issues every week. Again, the Browns convert a 3rd and 11 and then they run it down Miami's throats and now it's 14-3.

Can't fall behind any more or we run the risk of Ronnie being a nonfactor on the ground.

OK..
Well its 5 mins left to go in the 1st half. It's 24 - 3. Lemon is 4 of 14 for 46ys (yes I said 4 of 14) and 1 int. I'd like to back off my previous statment of Beck starting after the bye week, let him start the second half. He could not be any worse than this. If we are gonna suffer through stats and scores like this, let it be with our future QB. If the Browns are doing this to us, God save us from NE next week.

Lord this hurts.....

Signs of life on offense...
...but yet again, the defense can't stop anyone late in the game and we can't win...

I'm sorry - you put up 31 points, you should win.  But when your defense spots them 27 in the first half and can't stop anything, you're screwed.

I'm wondering if we can beat anyone at this point.

Ronnie Brown
At least we have that to watch - he is having a breakout year, and if this defense could stop somebody, people would be talking about him for MVP.

I don't even know where to start with this defense.  It's not like there isn't talent there - especially in the linebackers - but man, they're just awful.

PEOPLE!!
Take it easy!!
Matt take some Peptobismol, you are really sick bro!!
Guys!! i know you want Beck, but he is not ready and the O is making there job!!
I will tell you this. There is no discipline in this team, at one point we got 4 PENALTIES IN A ROW!! THAT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE in any league, we are playing to lose. You have been saying that it can not get worse than this, but it is!!
Don't get on my neck, i have been saying that we will win the game next week(our first win), YES again the Patsies. We will win, but don't mistake our fortune, we will lose a lot of game after that. The win will came because of the game is a division one and the patsies are unbeaten, we will arise to the ocation.
What is wrong we the Dolphins? No dicipline & Lack of Defensive coaching, Caper SUCKS@!!! BIG TIME!! He is a moron. By the way, CamC is been portray as an idiot becuase if him. I know CamC can not touch him, but at this point, CamC have more escuses to fire him, than to keep him..
For now, that is all, GO DOLPHINS!!
I will see the Dolphins win a SUPER BOWL before i die(20 years and counting)
