Dolphins at Bills - Overflow Thread

The Miami Dolphins are once again beating up on the Buffalo Bills, leading 20-7 late in the third quarter. The Dolphins defense has picked off Ryan Fitzpatrick three times today, with Vontae Davis tallying two of those.

Meanwhile on offense, Reggie Bush is closing in on another 100-yard rushing day, while Brandon Marshall's 84-yards thus far has given him his fifth straight 1,000 yard season - with the last two being in Miami. Marshall is the first Dolphins receiver to reach the 1,000 yard marh in consecutive seasons since Irving Fryar in 1993 and 1994.

Enjoy the end of the game!

Noteworthy for this game, if the Dolphins win today, the Bills will be in last place in the AFC East. The two teams will both have 5-9 records, with Miami having swept the season series. As bad as this year has been, it's possible the Dolphins could move out of the cellar today.

Please remember, no illegal intent stream talk, and don't post pictures in the thread (they slow it down).

I won't be around today to post any overflow threads. If this thread slows way down, please feel free to make an overflow thread as a Fan Post - or one of the contributing authors might be able to put up an overflow. Enjoy the game!

Eagles at Dolphins - Miami Trails at the Half 24-7

Halftime of the Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins Week 14 contest has the Miami Dolphins trailing 24-7. It's been a dominating performance by the Dolphins defense again. The team has been pressuring the Michael Vick all day, with Jason Taylor leading the way with two of the Dolphins' four sacks.

However, the story of the game so far might be the Dolphins' offense. As in, their inability to get going. Matt Moore had a gorgeous touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall in the back of the endzone in the first quarter. But, it all stalled in the second period. Moore threw an interception on a play where the pocket collapsed and Moore just threw the ball into the air, hoping Marshall could make a play. That led straight to running back LeSean McCoy's second rushing touchdown of the day.

As Miami got the ball back and looked to get moving, Davone Bess caught a ball over the middle on third down, only to fumble it as he was tackled. The Eagles recovered and eventually kicked a field goal to extend the lead to 17-7.

Injuries have been hitting the Dolphins today as well, with tackle Jake Long, cornerback Vontae Davis, and guard Vernon Carey have missed time. It's looking less and less likely that Long will return to the game, and the offensive line is desperately in need of his presence. They are getting beat on every play right now, and Moore can't get time to throw it, while Bush and Thomas are having to try to dodge Eagles players in the backfield every time.

Miami has to find a way to rush against the Eagles in the second half if they want to come back in this contest. Otherwise, this second half could get really ugly, really fast.

Raiders at Dolphins - Miami Leads 13-0 at the Half

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore (8) hands off the ball to Dolphins running back Reggie Bush (22) during the first half of an NFL football game against the Oakland Raiders, Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, in Miami , Fla. (AP Photo/Wilfredo Lee)

The Miami Dolphins have come out hot against the Oakland Raiders today, shutting down the NFL's fourth ranked rushing attack, and taking it straight to the Oakland defense.

The Dolphins held the Raiders to a combined 21 yards rushing, with Michael Bush picking up just five yards on five carries. The majority of the Raiders rushing yardage came on one 15-yard end around from wide receiver Louis Murphy. The passing game for the Raiders hasn't been much better, with Carson Palmer being held to 8-of-17 for 101 yards. In fact, the Raiders have just 107 yards in the half (compared to Miami's 205), with seven first downs. Miami has also sacked Palmer twice.

Maybe the most telling fact is that the Dolphins did not have to use punter Brandon Fields until there were 2 minutes to go in the first half. The Raiders have seen Shane Lechler come in to punt five times.

Anthony Fasano has been the weapon of choice for Matt Moore, with four receptions for 66 yards. Running back Reggie Bush is well on his way to his third career 100 yard day, with 79 yards on 10 carries in the half.

Let's hope that Miami can continue this dominance in the second half!

ALL RIGHT MIAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
