The New England Patriots head down to South Florida to face the Miami Dolphins in the final regular season contest for each team. For the Dolphins, it will be the final game of the year for the team period, while the Patriots will have a week off before starting their latest Playoffs appearance.
The visiting Patriots ruled out several of their players for this game, sidelining them for the weekend and giving them two weeks until their Divisional Round Playoff game, having already locked in a first-round bye. Sitting out for New England will be cornerback Justin Coleman (concussion), wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot), linebacker Jonathan Freeny (hand), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee), defensive end Chandler Jones (abdomen/toe), and tackle Sebastian Vollmer (ankle). The team listed nine more players as questionable for the game, meaning they have a 50-50 chance of playing in the game: wide receiver Danny Amendola (knee), tight end Scott Chandler (knee), safety Patrick Chung (foot), offensive lineman Josh Kline (shoulder), wide receiver Brandon LaFell (foot), safety Devin McCourty (ankle), defensive end Rob Ninkovich (shin), defensive lineman Sealver Silga (not injury related), and offensive lineman LaAdrian Waddle (shoulder).
The Dolphins side of the injury report from Friday does not rule out any player, but does have linebacker Jelani Jenkins (ankle) and center Mike Pouncey (foot/ankle) listed as doubtful for the contest. The questionable category for Miami lists guard Jamil Douglas (ankle), offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James (toe), wide receiver Rishard Matthews (ribs), defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (calf), and wide receiver Kenny Stills (tight). The team included wide receiver Jarvis Landry (knee), quarterback Ryan Tannehill (thigh/knee), and guard Billy Turner (calf) on the report, all listed as probable for the game.
The teams will kickoff at 1pm ET on Sunday.
