Cameron Wake injury continues to keep him limited in practice; Full Ravens vs Dolphins injury report

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens released their first injury report of the week yesterday. The two teams face off in Miami's Sun Life Stadium on Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins host the Baltimore Ravens in Sun Life Stadium this weekend, looking to bounce back after a bad loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. However, they don't appear to be getting relief on the injury front any time soon.

The biggest name on the injury report for the Dolphins continues to be defensive end Cameron Wake, who, just like last week, was listed as limited for Wednesday's practice. Wake has a sprained MCL in his knee, an injury that caused him to miss most of the game two weeks ago against the Atlanta Falcons, then be inactive for the game against the Saints.

Wake's ability to play this weekend likely will not be decided until Sunday morning, but, with the bye week coming for Miami after this game, the temptation to allow Wake another couple of weeks to heal will be there.

The rest of the Dolphins' injury report includes cornerback Dimitri Patterson (groin) continuing to not practice, but he is now joined by linebacker Jason Trusnik (rib) and safety Don Jones (elbow). The lack of practicing From Trusnik and Jones, both of whom are key special teams contributors for Miami, makes the signing of free agent linebacker, and special teams player, Austin Spitler more understandable.

Along with Wake, cornerback Nolan Carroll (ankle), safety Chris Clemons (glute), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (knee), wide receiver Brandon Gibson (ankle), and linebacker Koa Misi (shoulder) were all limited in the day's workout.

Miami also listed linebacker Jonathan Freeny (shoulder) and defensive tackle Paul Soliai (knee) on the report, recording both of them as full participants in practice.

As for the Ravens, seven players did not take part in Wednesday's workout: wide receiver Marlon Brown (thigh), defensive tackle Terrence Cody (knee), center Ryan Jensen (foot), wide receiver Brandon Stockley (thigh), wide receiver Deonte Thompson (head), and cornerback Lardarius Webb (thigh). The also had three players, linebacker Arthur Brown (shoulder), running back Shaun Draughn (ankle), and wide receiver Jacoby Jones (knee), listed as limited participants.

Both teams will update their injury reports today, with the final report due on Friday. The Dolphins do not actually practice today, so their report will likely not change.

Kickoff for the Ravens and Dolphins will be Sunday at 1pm ET on CBS.
