This image surfaced today of a what very well could be Miami's new Home Jersey? While it could be a fan created item, it certainly does fit Ben Volin's description of what the jersey was going to be. Personally, I'm still getting used to the new logo, but I love this look. It's clean and the all white is a huge home field advantage to summer home games in the heat. What do you think?
A photograph was posted on the Miami Dolphins' Facebook page that shows Jared Odrick wearing a T-shirt with the "leaked" Dolphins logo. At this point, the logo (not due to be officially "unveiled" until late April) has been... 1. Intentionally leaked by a jersey/shoe blog, 2. Accidentally leaked by the official website of the NFL, 3. Shown on a T-shirt worn by a player in a team-supplied photograph, and 4. Confirmed as real by the Miami Herald. UPDATE: Miami Dolphins CEO Mike Dee tweeted this photo as well, so the team has apparently decided to stop pretending that there's a chance the leaked logo isn't real. Consider Odrick's T-shirt as the "semi-official" unveiling that was forced by recent leaks.
I am in the process of planning a trip to Florida for my quarterly dose of sunshine and heat. I'm trying to work out the logistics for 5 guys from 4 states to crash the party in Miami for this old rivalry. The biggest issue I'm having is that the game time is TBA. I'm flying into Atl on the 9/6 and driving from there. My money is that this winds up being a primetime game. What do you guys think? There's no possible way they would schedule this game in Miami for the noon game, right? Too hot and a big draw for ratings, I would think.
