For years now I have gone to the Three local "Big Boy" media outlets to get my Dolphin fix. This of course being the Miami Herald, Sun Sentinel and Palm Beach Post.
However, in a manner as cyclical as our south Florida seasons, I am forced to ignore a couple of these outlets because, to put it simply, I cannot stand listening to their main beat writers. Specifically, Omar Kelly and Armando Salguero are too giant douche canoes. The problem is that, to their credit, "Mando" and Omar are quite informative and on top of things, especially Kelly. Although, I must admit I am reluctant to say either one of them, especially Kelly, is hard working since it seems 90 percent of his "work" is tweeting his opinions. Both Kelly and Salguero are to ego maniacs. They spend half their work week playing that "I told you so" game. And with Kelly, I try my hardest to read his twitter timeline since it does provide a bit of insight. But every time I read a tweet about him basically insulting Dolphin fans for asking questions he created his twitter account to answer. He does not seem to understand that almost everyone else has a real job that they go to every day, and in their spare time, they check out the latest on the Phins. Omar, on the other hand, does not realize his job requires him to know more about the Dolphins then anyone else, that is literally the job description. So when a fan asks about Thad Lewis being picked up as a 3rd QB, it is ignorant and narrow minded to shit on someone by saying..."What do you people not understand....X, Y and Z"
On the other hand, the guys at the Palm Beach Post don't seem to be as big of D-Bags as their counterparts at the Sentinel and the Herald. The problem is, if anything, is that they do not provide me with really in depth news or updates.
So my question to you all is if there are any other local media outlets I am skipping over or that you trust. So I can get my Dolphin news, such as live updates and such, on a real time basis without having to listen to Mando talk about how he "called something first" or listen to Omar Kelly struggle to be the most cliche black man (he loves to tweet about Beyonce, Jay Z, bible verses and Jordans) this country has to offer.
Obviously this question is riddled with my humble opinions and not meant to insult anyone on this site. But I just want to know if I should bite the bullet or perhaps there are other places to look.
