Two more players missed practice time for the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, adding to the list of players sidelined by injury. The Dolphins started the day with center Mike Pouncey and running back Knowshon Moreno on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list, as well as wide receivers Mike Wallace (hamstring), Damian Williams (undisclosed), and reserve center Sam Brenner (ankle), all missing practice.
Throughout the workout, wide receiver Matt Hazel and defensive tackle Anthony Johnson both went to the sideline. Hazel was hit hard by fellow rookie Chris McCain during the practice and stayed down on the field for a few minutes. He then went to the sidelines, with the possibility of a head injury of some sort.
Johnson, meanwhile, was injured near the beginning of practice, with some sort of chest problem. He has been working as the second team defensive tackle, and appears to be in a position to hold on to a roster spot.
The Dolphins practice again tomorrow at 8am, their last workout before the annual scrimmage held at Sun Life Stadium, which this year will be Saturday morning at 9:30.
