Request for advice: Traveling to a Dolphin's home game

First off, I live in North Dakota and have never had the opportunity to watch a Dolphin's' home game in person. My wife and I have recently decided to try to plan a trip to Florida to watch a game at SunLife Stadium this upcoming season.

Since I've never traveled to Florida, I would appreciate any travel advice my fellow Phinsiders are willing to offer.

Hotels?

Attractions?

(I'm afraid we may have to visit Disney World)

Restaurants?

Basically anything that would make our trip more comfortable and enjoyable would be welcomed. Anything YOU think we should do to get an authentic Florida experience... I would love to hear it. I'm not a big fan of tourist attractions. I'd rather get a flavor of the city and its people close-up and personal.

Secondly, I'd like to hear opinions on which game to attend. I'm personally leaning towards NYJ @ Miami Week 17. It would be amazing to trounce the Jets on the way to a playoff appearance... but a game that late in the season is a little risky. But still, its the Jets...

So, all you Phinsiders who have attended many home games, which opponents provide the best atmosphere?

I hear that enemy fans travel well when playing in Florida, so what would be my best chance of catching a strong Miami fan base?

Any particular sections to sit it in?

Does it matter if I'm on the Home or Away side of the field?

Anything else I should know about visiting SunLife that would enhance our gameday experience?

I want to make sure we have a good experience to help boost my chances of coming back to watch another game. Any help from experienced fans would be very much appreciated.

Best Regards,

Tyler Mangin
