Immediate Reaction to the Miami Dolphins 67th Overall Selection

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Hot of the heels from selecting Jarvis Landry, the Miami Dolphins this time move up in the draft with the Oakland Raiders. Who will they select? Lets find out.

Dennis Hickey and the Miami Dolphins front office have certainly been busy tonight.  The Dolphins have traded up in the draft with the Oakland Raiders to take the 67th overall selection in return for Miami's 81st and 116th draft picks.

After selecting offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James in the first round and wide receiver Jarvis Landry in the second round, the Dolphins once again move to solidify the offensive line by selecting Billy Turner out of Dakota State.

While listed as an offensive tackle, Miami will look for Turner to compete at guard in 2014. The level of competition Turner has faced throughout his college career may be a concern, but his performances will not.  Athletic and light on his feet, Turner will be a good fit in Bill Lazor's zone blocking scheme that the Dolphins will look to employ this season.  Slight knocks include being knocked off balance in space and lunging, but these flaws can be easily coached.

Good bloodlines.  Turner's father played for Minnesota as a running back while his brother played linebacker for the New York Giants.

It now looks Miami's offensive line may be set.  Let the competition begin.

Is the signing of Billy Turner a step in the right direction?  Will he help solidify the offensive line?  Lets hear your views!
