Phinsider Community Public Service Announcement

23

This is a Public Service Announcement for the Phinsider Community. Over the past few weeks, there has been an uptick in the personal attacks within the community, and I would just like to remind everyone to debate the topic, not attack the person. Telling someone they clearly don't understand football or don't know how to read does nothing to advance a discussion - it simply takes a shot at the individual. This includes passive agressive comments about people where the comment is "some people" or "there's a group of people." Please keep the discussions on topics, not on people. We try hard to allow alot of freedom on the site, but we have had to send too many warnings as of late. Please watch yourself.

On that note, if you see something you consider questionable, please flag it. Only the moderators will ever know a comment was flagged, and we will handle it as we see fit. We send warnings when necessary, and we will hide comments if it's needed. We will send warnings to multiple people within a conversation, so please don't think we are attacking you, but ignoring others. We will also hide comments without sending a warning if we think it's borderline, but doesn't warrant the warning, or we will send a warning without hiding the comment if the debate is one that we think should continue. We address everything that is flagged, and it's a big help to us. Just know, we do not make public the behind the scenes pieces (such as warnings). Those stay between the moderator and the individual.

As always, if you have an issue, feel free to email me.
