A day at Sunlife Stadium

Hi guys, I have been a member here for a few years but this is my first real fanpost. I had to share with you all the experience I just had this past Wednesday.

Me and the wife got married on Monday and flew to Florida from New Hampshire for our honeymoon. Being a huge Dolfan from New Hampshire is a tough deal as I am sure anyone from New England knows. I get crapped on daily by these self-righteous Pats fans. Everything I wear every day is mostly Phins gear which adds to to heckling but I stand by our team no matter what..but anyways you get the point.

We had arranged to take a tour of Sun Life Stadium on Wednesday. Little did I know what I was in for on this day! My wife had emailed some reps in the front offices to see if there was anything "special" they could for me as this was a dream of mine for so long. I have been to one game in Sun Life in 2010 a Monday night game where the Patriots blew us out with 3 blocked kicks (yeah that game), but never have I been anywhere near the field or the locker room or anywhere else. Until now.

We arrived about an hour early at this wonderful place.

Tour started on the 3rd floor where the CEO and ecexutive offices are. along with these beauties.

one of the first rooms we got to go in the gallery of legends. Stuffed with memorabilia and under security at all times.

I was actually really amazed at how small Marino's hands are

I blessed the field. Which to many of you I am sure means nothing..to me this was my favorite part of the day. I am a landscaper and have turf management skills so to just touch this grass was amazing to me. Yes I picked some to keep too! Just remember when the Dolphins go 8-0 at home this year now you know why!

I think I have the life-long Pats fan converted to our side :)

Then we got to see the locker room...holy cow. Just the feeling that came over me walking into that room was more than words can explain.

I could show thousands of pics of this but you get that point. They allow nobody but the players and coaches to walk on this logo carpet, don't wanna ruin the ju-ju

Met and had an in depth dolphins chat with Nat Moore. showed him my 3 dolphins tats he was a bit surprised I think. also had a chat with Troy Drayton but missed the photo op.

This woman Gwen Mcormack was the "special" part of my day. Not EXACTLY sure what her role is but shes way up there..everyone in that part of the stadium answered to this woman. She gave me at least $300 nin merchandise, a very limited edition Guy Harvey painting numbered 24/150, introduced me to tons of dolphins greats and high up powers that be. But most importantly she invited me to be HER special guest for the first week of training camp..and also a room at the team hotel. So needles to say I will be returning to Miami in late July as not doing so would be an insult..and I even have the wifes permission already!

So all in all this day was just incredible!! I recommend the tour to any and all. The cost is only $20 per person and all proceeds are donated to charity. I can also say that this organization really is commited to getting the fanbase back. I look for big things from these Dolphins in the next few seasons.

Hope you all enjoy my post and again...if youre down in the area take the tour. Well worth it! Phins up
