Hello everyone, haven't posted in a while. I wanted to get everyone's opinion on what would be an "ideal" free agency+ draft season. For me, it goes as follows:
Mack would be an excellent anchor to the offensive line, bringing leadership and a mauler attitude to the O-line. With this addition we can either slide him or Pouncey to guard.
- Jon Asomoah, G, Kansas City Chiefs
Asomoah, Mack, and Pouncey would absolutely kill the opposing defensive lines. Asomoah moves very well, being a good fit for a zone blocking scheme.
- Any tackle that can bring competition/depth. I would say Brandon Albert, but the possibility of the Chiefs letting both Albert and Asomoah go are extremely small.
- Resigning Grimes
Onto the draft-
Round 1- BPA tackle. This offseason won't be the most glamorous but it will be productive. Bringing a player like Taylor Lewan will make our offensive line extremely formidable and might allow Tannehill to actually develop.
Round 2- Frankly, I could see this being another offensive lineman pick, however, I would be estatic if the Dolphins found a way to draft Austin Sefarian Jenkins or Lemarcus Joyner in the second round. Jenkins would be a matchup nightmare who could develop nicely in a two tight end system with Charles Clay, eventually becoming a focal point of the receiving core. Joyner honestly reminds me of Earl Thomas. They are both undersized, but can cause havoc hitting a receiver down the middle. He is a ball hawk who could solidify the back end
Round 3- BPA O-line
Round 4- BPA RB. I believe that Andre Williams or Storm Johnson will be available here, if Tre Mason falls to the 4th, take him and run.
Rounds 5-7: Depth.
