Not strictly related to the Dolphins, but this just highlights why I feel Jason LaCanfora has no crediblity. Earlier today, he said that the St. Louis Rams "have absolutely no intention of giving Sam Bradford a contract extension." Simple, straightforward, and clearcut. EXCEPT, a few hours later, he tweeted the the Rams are in fact "open to giving Bradford a contract extension." Oops. That's a teensy-tiny bit different from his initial report. LaCanfora has gotten a lot of other stuff wrong (he reported that Jake Long signing a contract to stay in Miami was virtually a done deal hours before the Rams announced Long had signed with them), and this is the latest example. Keep this in mind if somebody quotes LaCanfora's "report" that coach Philbin expect Matt Moore to push Ryan Tannehill for a starting job in 2014. Nobody else has backed up that report, and it frankly doesn't make sense. It's hard to imagine the Dolphins making the playoffs in 2014 if Tannehill plays poorly long enough to get benched, and Philbin will likely be fired if we fail to make the playoffs.
