Be Afraid...Be VERY Afraid

We as Dolphin fans are currently rejoicing in the fact that our two biggest scapegoats of the organization are now gone. First Mike Sherman was relieved of duty as the Offensive Coordinator, something that just about every fan of the Dolphins insisted needed to happen, and now we find that Jeff Ireland has decided to resign after deciding he didn't want someone looking over his shoulder, watching every move he made.

But while this may seem like a good thing on the outside, this sudden power vacuum may cause a much more dangerous thing to arise. Because Ireland is now gone, we may just lose one of our best players. Cornerback Brent Grimes.

As evidenced by her recent rant on Twitter, Brent's wife Miko is CLEARLY not happy with the fact that Jeff Ireland is no longer with the organization. Apparently she had made friends with the man and she had plans for the community that required his involvement. But why does any of that matter? Well it's quite simple really...you should never, EVER, underestimate the power of a woman.

Now before you see red (you know what I mean), take a good look at this picture. You see what? Yes, old Nick Saban himself, the man usually associated with the devil himself...with a name like Saban, it isn't hard to replace one letter. We all know the story, he came in, scared Drew Brees off to New Orleans and then ditched us a season later to coach the Alabama Crimson Tide.

But I'm here to suggest that Saban maybe didn't have the intention of leaving at first. He seemed to be very adamant about not accepting the Alabama job after Mike Shula (Mike Shula got fired in favor of Saban? Eh...) was fired from the head coaching job. Now let's look at the picture again, you see Nick Saban...but who else do you see?

His wife.

I have heard several rumors, whether true or false, that Terry Saban was a HUGE factor in his decision to ditch the Miami Dolphins and finally accept the job to coach the Alabama Crimson Tide...roll tide indeed.

That's only one example that there have been reports about, as we all know, players' wives and girlfriends usually always have somewhat of an impact on where they sign in the offseason, certain ladies more than others I'm sure. But now that we see Miko openly displeased with what the organization did in removing Jeff Ireland from power and fulfilling a dream come true for us fans everywhere, we should be wary that we don't suddenly find ourselves in a horrible nightmare by having Miko talk in her husband's ear to try and look for work elsewhere before considering re-upping with us.

It's gotten so bad in fact, that Miko has since decided to make her Twitter account private, and some people who were following her before this suddenly found themselves removed from her list of followers. Certain folks here on the Phinsider included. That's why I was unable to embed the tweet to itself to this post. In a nutshell, she said she would not be praising the move.

With all that in mind, it suddenly makes me fear that our top defender in my opinion might be looking to set up shop somewhere else due to Miko's potential prodding...after all, if there's one thing all we men must be constantly aware of...

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."
