The Associated Press has released their annual list of the best players in the NFL. The yearly All Pro list, broken down into a First- and Second-Team recognizes the very best players at each position within the league, as determiend by 50 AP voters. For the 2013 season, one Miami Dolphins player received ther nod.
In previous years, the Dolphins have seen players such as defensive end Cameron Wake (2012 First Team, 2010 Second Team), tackle Jake Long (2010 First Team, 2009 Second Team), linebacker Joey Porter (2008 Second Team), defensive end Jason Taylor (2000, 2002, and 2006 First Team, 2001 Second Team), and linebacker Zach Thomas (1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, and 2006 First Team, 2001 and 2005 Second Team).
This year, the Dolphins' lone representative was punter Brandon Fields, who was selected to the Second Team. Fields was second in the league in punting average (48.8 yards per kick) and net yardage (42.4).
This is the first All Pro selection for Fields, who was also selected to his first Pro Bowl this season.
Here is the full list of All Pro selections, including Peyton Manning being a unanimous selection at quarterback, his seventh time on the list.
