The Miami Dolphins have released offensive lineman Chris Barker today, according to the Miami Herald's Adam H. Beasley. Barker originally signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent back in April after playing every game for four years at the University of Nevada. He played both left and right guard at Nevada, switching in game, and sometimes, from play to play.
Barker has practice squad eligibility and will likely be a candidate to be placed on the eight man group. He's a raw talent, who needs time to develop, but he does have potential, and a practice squad position could be good for the 6'3", 305 pound lineman.
Barker joins running back Jonas Gray in players cut by the Dolphins so far today. Miami started the day with 75 players on the roster, but have to be at 53 by 6pm ET tonight.
