Post your thoughts on the 53-man roster here

Here's mine.

Long story short: gonna be hard to fill in the last few spots. Hope everybody stays healthy

DEFENSE (26)

LDE 50 - Vernon 6-2 268, 79 - Shelby 6-2 270

LDT 94 - Starks 6-3 305, 96 - Soliai 6-4 330,

RDT 98 - Odrick 6-5 302, 97 - Randall 6-5 309, 76 - Francis 6-5 309

RDE 91 - Wake 6-3 250, 90 - V Martin 6-4 302,

SLB 95 - Jordan 6-6 248, 58 - Robinson 6-2 256,

MLB 59 - Ellerbe 6-1 240, 55 - Misi 6-2 257,

WLB 52 - Wheeler 6-2 240, 43 - Jenkins 6-0 243

LC 21 - Grimes 5-10 183, 28 - Carroll 6-1 205, 22 - Taylor 5-11 192,

RC 32 - Patterson 5-10 200, 25 - Stanford 5-10 185, 29 - Davis 5-11 186,

FS 31 - Marshall 5-11 198, 30 - Clemons 6-1 214, 37 - McCray 6-1 200,

I'm championing Jordan as SLB...I think Vaughn Martin could have an Odrick-like impact as a wave DE

I'm putting Marshall as FS, I think he could have an impact in Turnovers...play a role like Ed Reed

OFFENSE (24)

LT 71 - J Martin 6-5 312, 70 - Dallas Thomas 6-5 306,

LG 51 - Pouncey 6-5 303, 63 - Burden 6-4 315

C 64 - Samuda 6-3 315,

RG 68 - Incognito 6-3 319, 61 - Louis 6-3 320,

RT 77 - Tyson Clabo 6-6 329, 75 - Garner 6-7 325

TE 80 - Sims 6-5 262, 84 - Egnew 6-5 255,

QB 17 - Tannehill 6-4 222, 8 - Moore 6-3 216, 7 - Devlin 6-3 225,

RB 26 - Miller 5-10 218, 33 - Daniel Thomas 6-1 233, 35 - Gillislee 5-11 208

HB 81 - Keller 6-2 250, 42 - Clay 6-3 250,

WR 11 - Wallace 6-0 199, 10 - Gibson 6-0 205, 34 - Thigpen 5-9 195,

WR 82 - Hartline 6-2 195, 86 - Matthews 6-0 210,

With the development of Samuda, I'd actually recommend playing him at C and using Pouncey as a LG.

Can you imagine Incognito and Clabo leading the way with Pouncey pulling behind them...good stuff

and Pouncey could help Martin on the left side with his athleticism.

I'm having Keller start out in the backfield, mostly in a Wing back slot position, then moving him in motion to the slot or attacking the weak side to limit the pursuit and getting open on play action. Dion Sims is the starting in-line TE

I'm leaving off McNutt...he's good, but I feel that there are other receivers out there that are similar to him who would be available in a pinch. Now if Matthews cannot get healthy, he replaces Matthews and I'd feel good about it.

It is getting really tough to fill out the 53.

SPECIAL TEAMS (3)

K 5 - Carpenter 6-2 225

P 2 - Fields 6-5 245

LS 92 - Denney 6-5 255

Not impressed with Sturgis...things could change, but I'll roll with Carpenter...seems like competition brings out the best in him...

I realize this is way to early, but Your thoughts?
