Corp joined the team back in May, signing a one year deal. As an undrafted free agent in 2012, Corp originally signed with the Buffalo Bills, but was released a few weeks after the draft. He again signed with the Bills this past February, before being released after the 2013 Draft. He was a member of the Dallas Cowboys for two days in May before signing with the Dolphins. He played for USC and Richmond in college.
Smith went undrafted in the 2013 selection process, and now joins the Dolphins. He reportedly had worked out for the Dolphins prior to the draft. The 6'3", 217 pound wide receiver played for Louisville last year, where he caught 34 passers for 536 yards, with three touchdowns. During his college career, Smith was on the completing end of 70 passes, for 1,120 yards, and seven touchdowns.
While he only posted a 4.61 second 40-yard dash time during his Pro Day, he is said to have sure hands, and effortlessly catches the ball.
Smith will compete with Jeff Fuller, Chad Bumphis, Jasper Collins, Kenny Stafford, Marvin McNutt, Rishard Matthews, and Brian Tyms for one of the final two roster spots. The Dolphins also have Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline, Brandon Gibson, and Armon Binns at the position.
