As rookie Duane Brown was our 4th lowest ranked LT. Trent Williams 9th lowest. Both top 15 last year. Let's not write off Martin so soon.— Pro Football Focus (@PFF) May 5, 2013
Take home message - If Jonathan Martin doesn't improve at all from year 1 to year 2, Ryan Tannehill is in trouble with Martin as left tackle. However, it's not exactly crazy-talk to theorize that Martin will get at least a little better this offseason, having gained 15 lbs while improving his strength, and getting a full offseason of first-team reps at left tackle. We'll see how it goes - at worst, the signing of Clabo means we can send help to Martin on the left side if needed.
