Just heard from Eric Winston. Nothing new to report on the Dolphins front. He thinks they're waiting until the draft to make a decision.— Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) April 10, 2013
As Adam Beasley notes in a followup tweet, "So all of this leads me to believe that the Dolphins absolutely will be a player in the tackle market -- and early -- on draft day." Winston's fate is tied to whether or not the Dolphins feel they sufficiently addressed OT in the draft. It could mean a trade up for Lane Johnson. It could mean a second round pick spent on Terron Armstead. It could mean that they don't expect to draft a tackle but want to hold off on signing Winston until they know for sure a top-tier prospect won't drop to #12 or #42. In any case, don't expect any news regarding Winston over the next 2 weeks.
