I know the rumor that Davone Bess is on the outs with the Dolphins. This is probably true, the philosophy that Philbin goes by makes every receiver versatile. That means he can play every position inside, outside or close to the formation against press or zone. Does Davone Bess fit in with that philosophy? Not really, but he does provide a skill set that is valuable to the NFL. That means teams will covet him on the trade market and the Dolphins will be hard press to pay $$$ that Davone Bess is looking for after his contract is up after this year. I know a team out west that could use a slot guy that can keep the chains moving and they have an abundance of draft picks in this Aprils draft. The 49ers will be an excellent fit for Davone Bess considering he grew up in the area and the 49ers play in the NFC and the other side of the country.
