Stop me if you have heard this before. A former member of the Tennessee Titans was targeted by the St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins, leaning toward one team while listening to the other. Eventually, he makes the decision to sign with the Rams. Now, this is not the story of Jeff Fisher becoming the Rams head coach. Instead, it is tight end Jared Cook who has agreed to terms with the Rams today.
Cook spent the last four seasons with the Titans, catching 131 passes for 1,717 yards. He had 8 touchdowns over that span.
The Dolphins, who have already landed their top free agent target wide receiver Mike Wallace and surprise signing, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, will now look to find another free agent target, or use the NFL Draft to address their tight end need this year.
