According to USA Today's Mike Garafolo, former Miami Dolphins tight end Anthony Fasano is expected to sign a new contract with the Kansas City Chiefs today. Fasano spent five years with the Miami Dolphins as their starting tight end.
Without Fasano available to re-sign, the Dolphins are now going to have to actively target the tight end position. Already a need for ran upgrade, the position just moved into one of the top two spots for Miami. Various reports throughout the week have said the Dolphins are interested in landing former Tennessee Titans tight end Jared Cook.
Fasano caught 177 passes with the Dolphins for 2,104 yards with 23 touchdowns. He also previously played two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.
We will cover more on the Fasano signing as the details come in, and check out Arrowhead Pride for all the Chiefs moves in free agency.
