It was only a few years ago when the Dolphins
lost to the Ravens
in the first round of the playoffs. Well, now the Ravens won the Super Bowl
and the Dolphins are in their 9th year of rebuilding!!! Watching the game last night made me realize what a sad state of events exist here in Miami. I compared the playmaker positions on offense and felt that the Ravens were better in all the positions, QB, RB, TE,and WR!
Flacco vs Tannehill, Bush vs Rice, Fasano vs Pitta, Boldin vs Hartline and Torrey Smith
vs Bess and the Ravens have Pierce and J Jones as backups. I think the Ravens have the edge in all 5 starting positions. Flacco is the only Free Agent in the group yet on the Dolphins, Fasano, Bush and Hartline are UFA. This is putting the team even farther behind!
I didn't even look at the defenses because they are relatively close in statistics and some may argue the Dolphins defense was statistically better in some areas. However, Miami was -9 in Take aways and Baltimore was +10.
I can't understand how the management of this team can't right the ship and are continually putting the team in a catchup mode. I would love to be optomistic but after 7 losing seasons in 9 years combined with the FA situation here, it is hard to put Miami and Super Bowl in the same sentence unless you are talking about the stadium! Am I so wrong??
