Today we remember those who served our country in the armed services. The day was originally set aside as a remembrance for our soldiers who served in WWI (Armistice Day) and then eventually became a day to honor the men and women who have also since served in all foreign wars. The day was officially changed to "Veterans Day" in 1954. This day is not only meant to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and died in the line of duty but all of those who have served and continue to serve to this day. Even if you do not attend one of today's many events across the country honoring these brave men and women try and make some time in your day today to thank one of the veterans that you know or just to stop and and take some time to reflect on their sacrifices that afford you the freedoms that you enjoy every single day.
I would also like to recognize all of our many site members who have served or in some cases like our very own site manager Kevin Nogle continue to serve to this day. Thank you, everyone of you for your service!
