My immediate reaction

Well, we lost. The worst part is, we definitely should not have. In defense of our Phins, that one drive by the Ravens (you guys know which one I mean) looked like Goodell called the refs and said he'd fire them if Balitmore didn't score a touch down. Also plenty of uncalled holding (apparently they thought Shelby was Wake who gets held on nearly every other play with the difference being Wake's freakish ability to fight through it).

But, unfortunately, nearly every team's fans have similar complaints every time they lose. Here are my both ridiculous and realistic thoughts on the game.

Ryan Tannehill: Is he really the answer? As of the last 2 games (and most of the Atlanta game), he sure doesn't look like it. He's obviously a lot more talented, but am I the only one getting a cold shiver down my spine every time he holds onto the ball for 5 seconds and takes a sack a la Chad Henne? The more inexcusable part is, the man is a former WR. Henne was a robot in both demeanor and athleticism, why does Tannehill continue to live in the pocket when he's proven to throw better on the run? I know it's probably too much too soon, but a lot of the mistakes I see from RT17 are painfully reminiscent of his rookie year. Furthermore, at least 3 of the "drops" Wallace had would have been amazing catches if he'd hauled them in. He had a touchdown too if Tannehill had led him better on that great grab he had in double coverage that he had to slow down for. I'm no Wallace apologist, but Ryan... C'mon man!

The Offensive Line: Not much to say here. We all know what's going on. Clabo continues to disgrace the number 77 in my name, Jerry looks like he's struggling which is a real shocker (SARCASM), Incognito is literally hit or miss, Pouncey is a stud (minus that horrendous snap) and Martin has outperformed my low expectations. I don't see it getting better this season, especially with Tannehill dominating the ball the way he does, so I'm trying not to pick at it incurable wound.

The Running Backs: Just cut Daniel Thomas. The line can't black for you guys, but Thomas manages to make it even worse.

The Defense: Brent, apparently you're not allowed to cover in the end zone. Not your fault, just a new rule against us. We need Wake back in a bad way obviously, but why isn't Jordan getting more snaps??? He's been a beast when he's been in the game. He directly caused Reshad Jones' pick 6, but no, let's just keep him on the sideline. I don't really have that many complaints with the defense (besides Wheeler) so I'm not gonna harp on them.

In conclusion, our offense continues to disappoint me in a way that Henne used to every Sunday. The pass rush is hurting as well without Wake playing. I liked what I saw out of Vernon today though. Let's just hope we can rebound after the bye week and decimate the Bills in week seven.
