Let me start off by saying that I apologize... I am a lurker....I probably should contribute more....but I do enjoy reading posts and information about the fins and really think that those running this site do a much better job than 95% of us ever could think about. That being said I really don't remember anyone offhand saying that we would be or should be 4-1 at this point. Do I wish we were? Sure!! But I do think we have to keep in mind we are still rebuilding...I know that sucks to hear but in coming back to reality I dont remember anyone in their right mind predicting Superbowl appearance at the beginning of the year. Do I wish we were contenders this year? Sure!!
But let's be realistic...I can guarantee you that if we polled everyone at the beginning of the year about satisfaction of a 3-2 start 95% or better would have taken it. Again do I wish we were 4-1? Sure?? But again let's be realistic we don't have the O-line....We can come up with about 1000 excuses as to why we are on a 2 game skid but it mostly comes down to the amount of sacks allowed.
When Tannehill has time the man is money. I have read numerous posts about Thill taking too much time...blah blah blah....but honestly I have not seen it much more than anyone else in this league...I didn't see it last year and I have not seen it much this year. I was happy to see that the Duke has already reviewed several of the sacks and have noted the time from snap to sack have been less than 3 seconds and am looking forward to reading more on this subject. My general feel from the game is that he just does not have the time (most of the time) on sacks. Sacks are killers...drive killers and momentum changers...we are on pace to break an NFL record. Does this surprise me....I don't know to be honest but I do know I was not expecting us to win the Superbowl....YET!!!
Again let's be honest pretty much everyone would have said a 3-2 record would put us ahead of expectations...let's embrace that!!! Do we have problems? Obviously!!!...O-Line had better be addressed in off season and draft (I know this has been said but who would have thought we would be saying that...already).
If there is one thing I have learned over the past few yeas from this site is that people quickly become pessimistic. QB is the quickest and easiest to blame but I think we all know Thill is the best we have had since The Man and the future of this franchise. Instead of blaming, hating, sulking, etc......lets keep in mind we are 3-2 and have survived the "toughest part of our schedule" with a winning record!!!! If we cont this terrible O-line play and this terrible play then I can understand but remember if I asked you if you would be happy with 3-2 what your answer would be.......am I bummed....do I wish we would have one.....would I like 4-1 better.....ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Let's keep in mind though...we are still working on becoming the team we want to be...we all knew we are not quite there yet....no surprise.....let's just try to calm our fears and try to be happy that we are "ahead of schedule" compared to where we thought we would be.......just sayin...
