Trick or treat...

As the day begins with shades of red on the horizon. As fall is slowly giving place to the long cold winter in Montreal. I am sitting at my computer, two expressos later, and making an attempt at my first ever FanPost.

First things first ladies and gentlemen, as I'm making this first attempt at a FanPost, please keep in mind that I'm writing this in a second language... Though writing a FanPost in French would be much easier might for me, I think it might affect readership... So, I will take the risk of writing this piece in English, and try to raise to the challenge, trusting you, the reader, to be indulgent...

We are now about twelve hours away from the game opposing the Bengals to the Dolphins.

As kickoff approaches, I'll put on my costume - How appropriate for Halloween, right? -, composed of a Miami Dolphins jersey - featuring a number 17 on the back -, then I'll put on my Dolphins cap and... as I sit down to watch the game with my old mini helmet by my side. I'll be hoping for a treat. A Miami win, nothing less.

After the debacle of last week against New-England, a lot of people brouht up how they felt momentum changing after the missed field goal by Caleb Sturgis... As some sort of presentiment that everything would go down the drain from that point on... I, for one, must say I kind of "expected" the Dolphins to crumble from that point on too... But, what intrigued me most was why and how I was unable to close the TV and prevent myself from seeing it with my own eyes... I mean, there must have been some sort of hope, a magic belief that somehow they would not screw this up... Well, I watched anyway, ended up disouraged yet again at this team that I first began to cheer for in january of 1983 as they lost to the Redskins...

To say it is getting old is a euphemism at this point.

Since I am apparently not the only one who went through that process last sunday, I've come to the point where I feel I am masochistic for sitting still and keep watching... That being said, I am still a fan, unable to not hope for my team to... somehow, break this trend of losing.

Hope is what keeps me going.

So here is to hoping that the Dolphins beat Cincinnat. Here is to hoping that Ryan Tannehill shows better awareness, here is to hoping that Mike Wallace elevates his level of play, here is to hoping that the offensive line pays well... Here is to hoping that this team will play as one... And here is to hoping for better coaching from the entire staff...

These our treats that would make this Halloween a special one...

These our treats that could make for a nice step, a step that gets the Dolphins back on the winnig track!

Will it happen?

I dont know.

But, one thing is for sure, I'll be watching...

On that note, I wish you all a good Halloween and a great game!

And thanks for reading...
