2012 NFL Playoffs Schedule - Wildcard Weekend

USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Playoffs officially kickoff today, with the first two games of Wildcard Weekend. Here's a look at the schedule for this weekend, including where you can find each game.

The 2012 NFL Playoffs are upon us, with 12 teams all trying to hold up the Lombardi Trophy in February. It starts today, with the first half of Wildcard Weekend, featuring two division winners and two wild card years from each conference.

The NFL playoffs are a single elimination tournament, but is set up oddly, with the top two division winners, based on regular season win-loss record, in each conference getting a bye week. Then, the conference's four remaining teams, two division winners and two wildcard teams, play on the opening weekend. The two division winners host the games, with the two wildcard teams having to go on the road to keep their Lombardi dreams alive. Teams are seeded by their regular season record, with the division winner with the better record hosting the widlcard team with the worst record.

After this weekend, the match ups are reset, with the top seeded division winner hosting the lowest seeded team, either a wildcard team or one of the other division winners.

This year's playoff seeding is:

1. Denver (13-3, AFC West champion)
