The Super Bowl is one of the hardest tickets to get every year, mostly because of the number that goes to corporate sponsors. But, that doesn't mean the tickets aren't out there. Here's a run down of the current pricing for tickets.
Super Bowl XLVII is two weeks away, with the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens both claiming their berths today. The game is always one of the hardest events to land tickets, but that doesn't mean you can't find them - so long as you are willing to pay.
SB Nation has a working relationship with the folks at TiqIQ, and they provided some info on pricing for Super Bowl tickets. TiqIQ aggregates pricing information from across a spectrum of ticket resources. It doesn't mean you'll get "cheap tickets", but it does provide a few more options than just going to StubHub or hunting through Craigslist.
Here's a look at the current stats for the Super Bowl:
- Tickets Available: 3,630 (it was just over 5,000 when I started writing this post, just to give you an idea of how fast they are going)
- Current Average Price: $3,535 (Up from $3,082 when I started)
- Starting Price: $1,899
- Suite Prices: $294,000+
- Lower Level Seats: Starting at $2,600
- This year's game is currently 20.36% lower than the Super Bowl last season on this date (Giants v Pats-$3,870.43)
