While running back Reggie Bush was able to start today, and is averaging 6.5 yards per carry, he has only run 6 times for 39 yards. In fact, the Dolphins as a whole have only run the ball 13 times, with the one Miami touchdown coming on fullback Jorvorskie Lane's 1 yard touchdown plunge.
The offensive story of the game, so far, has been the play of the wide receivers, with Brian Hartline leading the way with six receptions for 110 yards, one yard off his career high set back in Week 2 against the Oakland Raiders. Davone Bess is just behind him with 5 receptions for 86 yards.
The Miami defense has dominated as well today. Defensive end Cameron Wake, who came in to the game with no sacks on the season, has brought down Kevin Kolb for three sacks today. Cornerback Sean Smith picked off one pass from Kolb, who is 11-for-14 for 71 yards, a 58.0 passer rating.
The Dolphins have 250 total yards in the first half of this game, while the Cardinals are sitting at 68.
Hopefully the second half will remain as effective for the Dolphins.
