Miami Dolphins Week 3 Reason to Celebrate: Reggie Bush's Knee

A weekly look at the Miami Dolphins reason to celebrate. This week, the reason to celebrate comes down to one simple thing - Reggie Bush's knee.

As I started writing this week's Miami Dolphins Reason to Celebrate, I wrote several versions, going through some of the successes from the game against the New York Jets, and doing an okay job at it. It's not that there weren't successes; there was just something else that needed to be celebrated. This week, the Dolphins dodged a bullet. Running back Reggie Bush was sidelined for the second half of the game Sunday with a knee injury.

Monday news came that an MRI had confirmed there was no structural damage to Bush's knee. While his playing status for this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals is still unknown, the fact that the Dolphins are not having to place their top offensive weapon on injured reserve is a great reason to celebrate this week.

In the same game, Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis tore his ACL and was lost for the season.

As Miami fans, we all should be thankful that we are not having to deal with that kind of loss. Even if Bush, who has described his injury as a bruise, has to miss a week or two, knowing he will be able to return and play for the Dolphins should excite Dolphins fans.

And, if that's not a reason to celebrate, I don't know what is.
