Miami Dolphins linebacker Kevin Burnett did not participate in Thursday's practice, working out along the sidelines. Burnett was not on the team's Wednesday injury report, but was seen walking around yesterday with a noticeable limp, and he had his right leg wrapped. His injury has not been disclosed.
Burnett starts at ouside linebacker, with Koa Misi for the Dolphins. If he is unable to play this weekend against the New York Jets, the team would most likely start Jason Trusnik. Trusnik started 10 games for the Cleveland Browns in 2009.
The team also has Austin Spitler and Jonathan Freeny as reserve linebackers.
Burnett has played every defensive snap thus far in 2012 for the Dolphins. He has nine tackle this season, with on pass defensed.
Miami will release another injury report later today.
