The NFL announced today that Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 2 of the season. Bush led the Dolphins to a 35-13 victory over the Oakland Raiders this past Sunday, bringing the Dolphins' season record to 1-1.

Bush ran for 172 yards on a career high 26 carries, scoring two touchdowns. Bush scored his two touchdowns from 23-yards and 65-yards. The 65-yard run gave Bush two rushing touchdowns of over 65-yards as a Dolphins player, the first player to do that. Bush's career long 76-yard touchdown run came in the snow last year in Buffalo.

This is the third time Bush has received the Offensive Player of the Week award, once in the NFC with the New Orleans Saints and twice in the AFC with the Dolphins. His other Offensive Player of the Week with the Dolphins came after that Buffalo Bills contest last December (Week 15).
